Star Wars Battlefront 2: the new update, now available

EA DICE announced a few days ago a slight delay due to an error found in the final build of the patch.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 has finally received its new update, now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The title developed by EA DICE planned to publish the patch for a few days ago. However, the study found in error at the last moment and made the decision to delay it in order to reverse the ruling and offer the players an immaculate experience. The team called it a "critical error."

"During our testing phase we found a critical error, which means we will have to delay the patch until the beginning of next week," they said in a brief statement. Asked on social networks, Ben Walke, of DICE, had no problem explaining the reason for the delay. According to the creative, in some specific circumstances, the user was unable to damage the enemy in Capital Sumpremacy. "If this had reached the final game it would have been … unpleasant," he emphasizes.

Electronic Arts commented anyway that the patch would not take too long, so the script has been followed perfectly. The new patch adds two new Heroes, BB-8 for the Resistance and BB-9E as part of the First Order. In addition, Supremacy and Instant Actions release new planets (Takodana, Jakku and Ajan Kloss). On the other hand, they add new interior maps to Capital Ship, the MC85 star cruiser and the Resurgent destroyer. As far as the emotes are concerned, new ones are incorporated for Finn and Kylo Ren. At the same time, the damage from explosions is reduced.

A veteran game

Star Wars Battlefront 2 went on sale in late 2017. Since then, Electronic Arts has not stopped supporting the product, which has received multiple content updates. The title, which at the end of last year received the Celebration Edition, faces a new year with news related to the most recent film in the series, The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the new game of the galactic franchise, although unlike Battlefront 2, it is completely focused on the single player game. The play, developed by Respawn Entertainment, is set at the time of the Jedi purge at the hands of the Galactic Empire.
