The Initiative (Xbox) signs a Spanish former worker from The Last of Us Part 2

The new internal Xbox Game Studios studio at Microsoft, which is working on a new IP, continues to incorporate professionals from the sector into its ranks.

The Initiative, the new in-house development team at Xbox Game Studios working on a brand new IP, has signed Francisco Aisa Garcia, a former gameplay programmer on Naughty Dog for the upcoming The Last of Us Part 2. The Sony video game, which It has already reached the gold phase, it has allowed this Spanish computer engineer to undertake new professional purposes, although he will not go far. Like Naughty Dog, The Initiative is based in Santa Monica, California.

According to the professional profile of Aisa García, after working in companies like Padaone Games for Roving Rogue, he later participated in Rockstar Games for games like Red Dead Redemption 2. What we know about The Initiative: more names confirmed

That the first game of The Initiative is already playable is something that Microsoft itself confirmed last October. Drew Murray, narrative director in the study, indicated that this new IP in which they work was already playable, but they did not reveal details about the state of development.

For the moment, we know that the team is made up of great professionals in the sector with experience in many renowned companies; many of them North American: Rockstar, Crystal Dynamics, Sony Santa Monica, Rockstar and Naughty Dog.

We refer to confirmed names such as Murray himself (formerly from Insomniac Games), Brian Westergaard, one of the producers of God of War (2018), Christian Cantamessa of Rockstar, or Daniel Neuburger of Crystal Dynamics, responsible for the Tomb Raider saga. They are just some of the firms shaping the future of The Initiative. Another name is that of Blake Fischer, who was Microsoft; or Tom Shepherd from Rockstar Games. To that we have to add the signing of the God of War scenario designer last December or the visit of Phil Spencer last February to empirically play the title.

Hopefully we will see the first video game of The Initiative, at the earliest, on the already confirmed Inside Xbox next July, which will focus on first party titles that time. The first 13 games shown for Xbox Series X from third-party publishers already have a first and last name.

Xbox Series X is planned to launch at Christmas 2020 with more than 140 studios working on the console and at a price yet to be determined. From this article we review everything we currently know about the console; in this one, all the confirmed video games for her.
