Fortnite’s Chapter 7 Season 3 resumes the DC Hot Bat Summer event with the Batman Grapnel Gun, giving players an iconic traversal tool modeled on the Dark Knight’s gear.
Seeking the Phantom Grappler
The item appears in standard and Rare Chests across the map. Because the grappler is classified as Mythic, find it more often by focusing on POIs with blue nomenclature, which generate a higher rate of Rare Chests.
Players can also locate the item directly by executing the usual terminal commands that display chest spawn points, then heading to those specific POIs for a quicker chance.
Commanding the Grappler: How to Launch and Glide
Equip the grappler, aim with the L2/LT button on a controller or right‑click on PC, and fire via R2/RT. The line attaches, pulls the character toward the target, and upon disconnection automatically deploys the Bat Cape for a controlled glide to the ground.
Each grappler comes with 27 charges; managing that limitation is crucial for tactical high‑ground gain during engagements.
Buying the Grappler: Quick Access with Gold Bars
Instead of searching chests, players can purchase the grappler from the Beach‑Bod Batman NPC located north of Golden Grove POI. The seller requires 2,000 Gold Bars, making it the fastest route to the item, though a substantial gold‑bar grind is necessary.
With its efficient climbing and gliding combo, the Batman Grapnel Gun positions players for decisive advantage as the Hot Bat Summer event continues.
