Max Verstappen will clash with Valentino Rossi in the GT World Challenge Europe Cup at Portimao, Portugal.
GT3 Round in Portimao
The season finale, scheduled from 16 to 18 October, will see the Dutch driver and the Italian legend lined up on the same grid.
Verstappen, who had secured pole position at Sepang, is eager to tackle a different racing format with the same intensity he brings to Formula 1.
Verstappen’s GT Schedule
Between a 2025 Formula 1 triple‑header and the Portimao event, the driver will compete for seven consecutive weekends.
He said he “hoped to see him” but highlighted the importance of staying focused on the race, adding that “I don’t want to see him in the race.”
Rossi’s Shift from MotoGP to GT
After becoming a nine‑time Grand Prix motorcycle champion and retiring in 2021, Rossi entered the GT World Challenge Europe Cup, the 24H GT Series and the World Endurance Championship.
Rossi’s participation marks the first time the two stars will vie for the same track position in a GT‑class event.
With a highly competitive grid, Verstappen aims for a front‑row start and a strong result, turning the Portimao race into a historic showcase of elite talent across racing disciplines.
