Xbox is offering every digital Ubisoft owner a complimentary PC version of their titles, starting immediately for new purchases and rolling out by August 4 for existing owners.
How the offer works
Players must have the latest Ubisoft Connect installed. Once the console version appears in the PC library, the PC copy is unlocked, and all purchased editions along with downloadable content transfer automatically—premium currencies and one‑time‑use items, however, are excluded.
The promotion runs in only one direction: owning a PC version will not automatically grant the Xbox console copy. This asymmetry has caused frustration, especially after the recent large‑scale Xbox outage.
Eligible titles
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- Far Cry 6
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
- Riders Republic
- Skull and Bones
- The Crew 2
- The Crew Motorfest
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
- Watch Dogs Legion
Alongside the free copies, Microsoft is expanding Ubisoft’s presence in the Xbox PC app by delivering premium editions and additional content for major releases such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, and several entries from the Far Cry, The Crew, and Watch Dogs series.
Partnership context
Xbox’s move aligns with its broader strategy to grow its connected gaming ecosystem. By keeping the disc drive active under Project Helix, the company is signalling a dual commitment to both digital expansion and legacy hardware support.
The partnership aims to make it easier for players to enjoy Ubisoft titles across devices. For fans of Ubisoft, this offers one of the most straightforward free upgrades available this year.
