Niantic has revealed all the details of the next Community Day scheduled for this September in Pokémon GO, which will have Porygon as the main protagonist after the popular consultation last August of which he was the winner. Let’s take a look at the dates, exclusive movement and bonuses that we will find in the hours of celebration of the next Community Day.
September Community Day date and time
We start with the date that we must mark on the calendar: Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (local time). Again, as it seems to have come to stay, another month we will have six hours of Community celebration instead of three, an ideal circumstance especially on summer dates like the current ones in the northern hemisphere, where it is very hot in some areas.
During this Community Day, Porygon will appear in the wild much more often than usual; in fact, we can find it in its shiny / variocolor form if we are lucky.
Features and bonuses: Triack for Porygon-Z, triple XP per catch …
Regarding the evolutions and exclusive movements, the conditions are the same as always: if we evolve to Porygon2 (the first evolution of Porygon) during Community Day or up to two hours after it ends — 7:00 p.m.—, our Porygon-Z will learn Triack, a move that had never been available in Pokémon GO. Triack will be a damage and status move, it deals damage and also has a chance to reduce the opponent’s Pokémon’s attack and defense.
For the rest, we can also talk about the bonuses that we will find on this Community Day: x3 in XP per capture and the incenses will last three hours, 180 minutes. We therefore recommend using an incense as soon as we begin to participate to ensure that we always have a considerable amount of species around us.
Regarding the objects to evolve to Porygon2
Before and during the September Community Day we will be able to get the necessary objects to evolve Porygon and Porygon2.
- Mega Battle Challenge Event Week: From Friday, September 11, 2020 at 8:00 AM to Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 10:00 PM (local time), all Trainers will be able to earn an Upgrade and a Sinnoh Stone by completing the Temporary investigation of the event.
- September 20: All Trainers will be able to earn up to three Upgrades and three Sinnoh Stones by completing the Temporal Research tasks.
Those who purchase a ticket to the September Community Day exclusive special investigation “Deciphering Porygon” will have access to an Upgrade and a Sinnoh Stone after completing the special investigation.
