PlayStation is reporting possible setbacks with payments on PlayStation Store via bank cards due to new European regulations.

This has been warned by Sony through emails sent to its users in the last hours before the possible situation of errors when making payments with credit or debit cards in the digital store of their consoles.

According to the PlayStation mail, it is possible that rejections of commonly used cards can occur on both PS4 and PS5, although it warns that it does not necessarily have to happen. In any case, this would affect credit and debit cards more and not so much other payment methods such as PayPal. In case of detecting an error, the user should contact his bank to ask about the error and ask about the integration of this new authentication method, also known as 3DS.
