To breach Morkhalla’s imposing gates in Valheim 1.0, players must forge the Intricate Key, a special item produced only with an Intricate Key Mould and Bloodgold.
Key Components
The mould is found by battling enemies in the Winding Tunnels beneath Deep North settlements; each defeat offers a chance to acquire the mould.
Bloodgold must be generated by smashing a Gammeltroll’s petrified body with Ember Charges, harvesting the resulting Petrified Tissue, and smelting it in a Blase Furnace. Five Bloodgold ingots are needed for the key.

Crafting the Intricate Key
1. Combine the Intricate Key Mould and five Bloodgold ingots at a Level 4 Black Forge to create the Cast : Intricate Key.
2. Transport the cast to a Frost Foundry.
3. Add Liquid Frost—produced by feeding ice into a Frigid Kiln—to complete the process.
4. Retrieve the finished Intricate Key when it emerges from the Foundry.
Opening Morkhalla
Use the key on the locked gates within Morkhalla’s basement, accessed from a tower near the Winding Tunnels. The tower itself requires a grappling hook for entry.
