Arc Raiders will launch a PvE toggle beta test on October 13 2026, giving players a temporary PvE experience.
Embark Studios has timed the beta to run a full week, ending on October 20 2026 at 02:00 AM PT (05:00 AM ET). No code or sign‑up is required—every account that logs in during that window can simply activate the new toggle.
The switch appears under Matchmaking Options after the Frozen Trail update. Once on, it lets players queue for PvE matches against AI‑controlled “ARC” enemies, just as they would for PvPvE.
Although the beta coincides with the release of Pendola Pass, speculation suggests that the original map will be available, but the latest Sci‑Fi “Hidden Bunker” and “Night Raids” conditions will not.
Key Differences Between PvE and PvPvE
In PvE sessions, player‑to‑player damage is disabled, so squads can focus exclusively on objectives, not conflict. PvPvE keeps the aggression, allowing spontaneous duels.
Loot values remain lower in PvE, and only Solos, Duos, and Trios are offered during the beta, unlike the always‑available trio options in PvPvE.
Matches in PvE do not alter matchmaking ratings, whereas PvPvE combat directly influences Aggression‑based matchmaking.
Does PvE Stay Forever?
Embark Studios explicitly states that the beta is a limited test, not a guarantee of permanent PvE mode. The studio will gauge feedback before committing.
Should the beta deliver strong engagement, a more robust PvE offering could be integrated, but it would likely differ from the localized beta format.
How to Give Feedback
Players are encouraged to post critiques on the dev forums or via the in‑game feedback portal once the beta concludes. Input will shape whether PvE is eventually added permanently.
