The Final Showdown is set to begin at 2 p.m. Eastern Time on August 29, 2026. Players should access the OG playlist by 1:55 p.m. ET to bypass queue lag and avoid technical glitches.

Joining the Live Showdown
To participate, launch Fortnite on your chosen platform at least half an hour before the scheduled start. Select the “Fortnite OG” playlist and spawn into a match no later than 1:55 p.m. ET.
At the 10‑minute mark before kickoff, all damage is disabled, the storm stops, and a jetpack appears in every player’s inventory. The scripted fight begins sharply at 2 p.m. ET once the countdown ends. After the showdown, normal rules—damage and the storm—are restored.

Gameplay Rules During the Event
Combat is suspended throughout the event; players can observe but cannot engage. This holds until the conclusion of the Mecha Team Leader vs. Devourer battle, after which the field resumes standard play and damage is re‑enabled.
