Jeff Dickerson Calls Out Joe Gibbs Racing Lawsuit: ‘Where’s the Proof?’

Spire’s Jeff Dickerson about Joe Gibbs Racing lawsuit: ‘Where is the proof?’

Jeff Dickerson, the Spire Motorsports co‑owner, has publicly denied Joe Gibbs Racing’s claims that his team stole intellectual property from Chris Gabehart, insisting the evidence remains absent.

Jeff Dickerson Calls Lack of Evidence “Unfair”

During a recent interview on the Door, Bumper, Clear podcast hosted by Dirty Mo Media, Dickerson insisted that the JGR team has not yet provided any concrete proof to support the intellectual property theft allegations. “It would just be nice to see some evidence,” he said, stressing the difficulty of proving a negative.

He reminded listeners that the lawsuit, filed in February, has persisted with no tangible data presented by the Joe Gibbs Racing side. “The first minute this thing got filed, Mr. Hendrick called and he said, ‘Hey, what’s up?’ I was like, ‘I don’t know what they’re talking about.’”

Joe Gibbs Racing Allegations Persist Without Proof

Dickerson argues that Joe Gibbs Racing’s claims about Spire accessing proprietary setup details are unfounded. He decried the continuous media speculation, remarking, “I know it’s interesting but there’s no fucking evidence.” The lawsuit’s core contention remains that Spire accessed data provided by Gabehart, a claim JGR fails to substantiate.

Despite the legal pressure, Dickerson remains unconvinced that Spire has ever used any JGR set‑ups or information, citing the team’s existing technical partnership with Hendrick Motorsports.

A Shielding Alliance with Hendrick Motorsports

Spire enjoys a strategic relationship with Hendrick Motorsports, which supplies set‑up assistance and technical insight. Dickerson emphasized that drawing data from JGR would not only undermine that partnership but also strain the friendship between Coach Gibbs and Rick Hendrick. “I don’t want to disappoint Mr. Hendrick,” he explained.

He further warned that any dishonesty toward Hendrick would negatively impact the broader network of trust that supports Spire’s operations.

Dickerson’s Legal Play and Future Courtroom Maneuvering

Looking ahead, Dickerson stated that if the litigation proceeds to trial on February 1, he intends to confront JGR publicly once legal fees are cleared. “I want everybody to remember every allegation, and then, when we get to court, I’ll come out on the courthouse steps and say my truth.”

His objective, according to the former spokesperson, is to hold JGR accountable for failing to provide evidence and for alleged misinformation.

Next Steps in the Litigation Quarter

With the lawsuit still under deliberation, Spire’s legal approach hinges on the absence of JGR’s corroborative evidence. Dickerson’s defense rests on the described partnership with Hendrick Motorsports and the claim that JGR has never supplied Spire with the alleged proprietary data.

As the legal battle continues, all eyes remain on how JGR will respond to the demand for evidence and whether the claims of intellectual property theft will surface beyond the courtroom’s specified timeline.
