The Kortz Center Heist, the last major update for GTA 5 Online before the launch of GTA 6, has been released on every platform.
Securing a Base of Operations
GTA Online players must first own a mansion before they can initiate the new heist. Building a base of operations involves two critical purchases.
- Buy any of the three available mansions through the in‑game real‑estate portal: the Tongva Estate for $11,500,000, the Vinewood Residence for $12,200,000, or the Richman Villa for $12,800,000.
- Thereafter, add the Art Studio interior upgrade to the mansion. The standard cost is $4,700,000, but completing the Fine Art Collector Program beforehand grants a discount, reducing the upgrade fee to $3,700,000.
Players who lack the funds can liquidate surplus properties using the GTA Online real‑estate management system, a process covered in detail in other guides.
Launching the Heist
Once the Art Studio is installed, the player can launch the instigator’s briefing in two ways: either teleport to the HQ by selecting the “H” marker on the map or choose the Art Studio menu option from the drop‑down list.
A cutscene follows the entry, featuring Mr. Faber and his fixer, Raf De Angelis, who outline the Kortz Center targets that will form the core of the robbery. After the briefing, players should invite squad members to the studio to collaborate on strategies.
A counterfeiter named Yong Rae automatically occupies the studio after the cutscene and begins crafting forged paintings. These forgeries are necessary to swap exhibit locations inside the museum later in the heist.
Boss Registration and Planning Overview
To access the heist’s planning board, the player must register as a boss. Open the interaction menu, choose “Register as Boss,” and select the desired entity: either a Securoserv CEO or a Motorcycle Club President. A “Start an Organization” confirmation will convert the player to the chosen role.
In CEO mode, the planning board becomes fully functional, enabling the player to allocate crew members, assign roles, and schedule the detailed execution of the Kortz Center raid.
With the mansion, Art Studio, and boss registration complete, the final phase of preparation is underway—players are now ready to orchestrate the most ambitious theft the GTA Online universe has witnessed.
