Lucas Oil’s latest livery, a striking all‑red scheme for the No. 33, will launch at Daytona, replacing the blue paint that highlighted Kyle Busch’s 2023 Fontana victory.
From Blue to Red
Kyle Busch’s triumph at Fontana on February 26, 2023, vaulted the blue No. 8 Chevrolet into the spotlight, as it marked Lucas Oil’s final win in the Cup Series before the brand’s withdrawal.
In a June push, the company’s leadership unveiled a video with Richard Childress Racing announcing that the blue will be retired, honoring its link to the Busch family. The new red color reflects Lucas Oil’s national colors – red, white, and blue – and is intended to carry the same legacy forward.
“Red feels faster and keeps the brand’s integrity,” Morgan Lucas said. “It’s a fresh chapter, but we’re still preserving the blue for Brexton should he wish to use it in the future.”
A New Chapter on the Track
Driver Austin Hill will be the first to showcase the crimson scheme, which aims to blend speed with clarity, a concept that resonated with the company’s vision for modern, win‑grade racing aesthetics.
The transition signals Lucas Oil’s continued commitment to NASCAR teams while paying homage to the achievements of both drivers and the brand itself.
