Minecraft Wilderness Bound drops September 15, 2026, marking the third major expansion of 2026.
The update introduces the Dappled Forest biome, a vivid fall landscape featuring poplar trees that display red, yellow, and orange leaves. Special plants such as red shrubs and shelf mushrooms also appear in this new region.
Exploration themes dominate with the addition of nearly‑mysterious Abandoned Camps scattered through multiple biomes. Inside these camps, players can find striped supply crates, old maps, straw beds, cushions, and other practical loot.
A long‑awaited sitting feature is finally live: craft a cushion from three wool blocks and place it on the ground to rest for a short period.
Mine expeditions are supported by Explorer Maps that guide you toward densely populated loot caches. Straw beds can be set up to skip a night without resetting your spawn point.
The builder community gains fresh material with new wool and concrete tiers of stairs and slabs, broadening the color palette available for construction projects.
Every change in Wilderness Bound encourages fresh adventures, and the upcoming update promises to keep players exploring until the next pack arrives.
