God of War Laufey launches February 16 2027, and pre‑orders are now live for every edition.
Players can choose between a $69.99 Standard Edition on disc or a $79.99 Digital Deluxe edition that drops later on the PS5 exclusively.
Edition Overview
- Standard Edition – Physical disc and digital download, includes base game, in‑game pre‑order bundle, an extra Resource Pack, and a new customised look for Faye and Phranque.
- Digital Deluxe Edition – Full digital download, contains all Standard bonuses plus a Dark Alchemy Armor Set, a duelist sword, a bow scalp, a catalyst, a digital mini‑artbook, and the official soundtrack.
Pre‑Order Bonuses
Both editions reward early buyers with a Faye’s Last Wish armor set, the Phranque Golden Leaves aesthetic, and a full in‑game Resource Pack.
Only the Digital Deluxe adds the Dark Alchemy collection—blade, set, bow and catalyst—and the extra media and soundtrack.
Upgrading Paths
Owners of the Standard Edition disc can elevate to the Digital Deluxe for a modest $10 USD upgrade through the PlayStation Store, even if the disc is in hand.
How and Where to Pre‑Order
Navigate to the official God of War Laufey page on the PS Store, select the desired edition, press “Pre‑order,” and finish the transaction in a matter of clicks.
Physical copies are distributed through retail partners such as Amazon, Best Buy, and other major electronics outlets.
Why Physical Might Matter
Sony has announced that production of PS5 physical discs will cease in 2028; fans who prefer the tactile experience should secure a disc now to avoid future scarcity.
Digital remains the only option for those who prefer instant access and are comfortable without a disc.
Pricing Snapshot
- Standard Edition: $69.99
- Digital Deluxe Edition: $79.99
Those interested in exclusive in‑game content should weigh the added.digital bonuses against the physical release option.
In a market where the next entry in the God of War saga rides on pre‑order momentum, securing the edition that delivers the most value could decide who stands ahead when all chapters launch.
