Racing Bulls tailored its Hungarian Grand Prix machine with a fresh cooling layout and twin lateral fins to boost the Budapest circuit’s demanding downforce.
Engineering the same pace as the first car
Following a belt‑worm update at the Belgian round, the team fitted the same square airbox and aerodynamic kit to its second vehicle, aligning it with the VCARB 03 formerly run by rookie Arvid Lindblad.
The new design reduced the roll‑hoop core cross‑section, letting the rear wing work more efficiently while the added deflectors shepherd airflow toward the high‑downforce diffuser.
Crafted for Hungary’s aerodynamic demands
Embedded by engineers Tim Goss and Dan Fallows, the double fins on the upper engine cover refine the aerodynamic profile specifically for Budapest’s tight turns and sharp braking zones.
Despite the technical finesse, the squad remains focused on conserving momentum, having matched Alpine at 61 points and occupying fifth spot in the constructors’ standings.
Stepping up, matching rivals
With both cars now running identical specifications, Racing Bulls aims to persist its surprise rise among F1’s elite forces, any further enhancements likely to follow the Hungarian swing.
