The community of players has also organized a photography contest with the theme of the circus.
Seven months is too long for an online video game, at least that’s what some Red Dead Online players think. That’s the period that has passed since Rockstar Games released the latest major update to the video game, Moonshiners. By way of complaint, a user group has taken to the streets of the Wild West to demonstrate. And how did they do it? As published by PCGamesN, they have disguised their clown characters.
It all started in the Red Dead Online Discord community and in the Red Dead Fashion subreddits, where a fashion contest was organized last month. Its success has allowed it to be performed again, although this time the established theme is circuses. “Since we are foolish to believe that we are going to receive a new update, it fits that we dress like them ingame too,” explains a moderator from the Discord group.
A fun way to complain
The video game’s Discord community manager has confirmed to Polygon that the frustration at the lack of updates is real, although group members have decided to take it in a positive way. “Instead of turning it into a negative or reputable issue, something that often happens in communities, I thought about transforming [nuestras protestas] into something a little more fun. ” Those interested in participating will have until July 16 to dress up their clown characters and send their photograph.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. With the purchase of the main game, all players have free access to Red Dead Online. Although with the release of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X it has already been confirmed that the GTA Online experience will be transferred to those systems, Rockstar has not confirmed anything regarding its cowboy video game at the moment.
