Valheim 1.0 unlocked Bloodgold, a hard‑to‑obtain material that can only be forged from Petrified Tissue and Coal in the newly introduced Blast Furnace.
What’s Needed to Forge Bloodgold
Crafting Bloodgold demands coal—produced by carbonizing any wood in a Charcoal Kiln—and Petrified Tissue, while the Blast Furnace itself is assembled from 20 Stones, 5 Surtling Cores, 10 Iron and 20 Finewood. The resulting Bloodgold can only appear in the Deep North biome.
Getting Petrified Tissue from Gammeltrolls
Gammeltrolls, the towering stone trolls roaming the Deep North, drop Petrified Tissue only after they are petrified. Travelers must first defeat a Gammeltroll, then apply an Ember Charge to crush the remnant and recover multiple tissues.
Producing Ember Charge
Ember Charge is crafted by first creating an Eternal Pyre. Combine a Fader Relic, 10 Stones and a Stonecutter; the pyre continuously emits embers that you collect. Together with seal pelts—obtained by killing seals near the coast—melt the embers into Ember Charge.
These steps collectively fulfill the Bloodgold recipe and arm explorers with the new weaponry of Valheim 1.0.
