Onimusha: Way of the Sword offers a comprehensive roster of new outfits and weapon skins for Miyamoto Musashi.
As players finish main quests and reset boss rematches, a wave of new clothing drops. Successive encounters reward Light Kimono, Panda Costume, Wataru‑kun Costume, Tasuki Sash, and Red Armor, turning Musashi into a visual armory of his own design.
Haori Coats
Parallel to standard costumes, Haori coats are unlocked through specific story milestones or collectible hunts:
- Gauntlet‑Hiding Haori – default from the start.
- Striped Haori – defeat Rasho‑gan and complete the “Careful What You Wish For” quest in Eastern Kyoto.
- Velvet Haori – finish the “What Lurks in Shadows” quest inside the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
- Hellfire Haori – exclusive to Deluxe/Premium Deluxe editions.
- Fireman’s Haori – details pending location.

- Moonlight Haori – exclusive to Deluxe/Premium Deluxe editions.
Weapon Skins
Each sword skin demands a specific number of Lion Dogs—Lady Murasaki’s pets—that players must locate across Kyoto. The thresholds range from six to thirty-six, matching the rarity of the appearance.
- Sword‑Normal – unlocked from the game’s outset.
- Sakurahime – 6 Lion Dogs.
- Shishioh – 12 Lion Dogs.
- Myogo – 18 Lion Dogs.
- Ura‑giri – 24 Lion Dogs.
- Mooncrossed – 30 Lion Dogs.
- Kikoku – 36 Lion Dogs.
Special editions introduce additional skins. The pre‑order bonus “Sealed Curse” offers a uniquely ominous look, while Deluxe/Premium Deluxe editions unlock bamboo, panda, Enryuu, Raizan, White Lion, and Whittled Oar skins, each with a distinct thematic flair.
Mastering these unlock paths gives players every visual tool to tailor Musashi’s epic journey.
