Former F1 racer and analyst Jolyon Palmer noted that Russell’s starts were marred early on, dropping him behind Oscar Piastri, a gap that left him “not there” in terms of pace.
Palmer stressed that Antonelli’s consistent performance keeps him at the championship’s summit, while Russell sits second with 183 points, tied with Lewis Hamilton.

Antonelli leads by a 59‑point margin with 242 points. Russell, having finished third, now sits on the senior podium in the rankings and will need a sharper start to draw closer to the leader before the season’s finish.
