EA and Bioware try to save with Anthem, what can be saved. Whether that will still be possible with the current game, one would like to doubt in the meantime somehow.
Current rumors therefore speak of a complete overhaul, which should go as Anthem Next or Anthem 2.0 at the start. It is still unclear how you want to realize the whole thing. There is a choice of continuous updates, as was the case with No Man's Sky, or as a larger Destiny-style expansion.
All systems such as structure, the loot system or the game world should be drastically changed. Once this process is completed, Anthem could be completely re-launched.
At any rate, Bioware does not want to give up Anthem, and hundreds of developers at the studios in Austin, Texas, and Edmonton, Alberta, and Canada may be busy revising. It says:
"We spent a few months just tearing it down and figuring out what needs to change (a lot)," said one of the project's confidants. "And we're rebuilding for a few months now."
EA or Bioware have not commented on the report so far, so the whole thing should be classified as a rumor for the time being.
